The look: Lux décor in deliciously rusty tones awaits you in this roomy cocktail bar. Situated on the third floor of The Eastern; there’s comfy throw cushions, chocolate lounges, stunning cane lights and lit candles for a sweet romantic touch.
The soundtrack: There’s acoustic sessions every Wednesday night, Thursday’s sophisticated house with a DJ, then Fridays and Saturday’s there’s a cool jazzy vibe.
Signature drink: The Chesterfield ($15) is a refreshing yet zesty mix of cranberry, fresh apple, sugar and bitters, shaken with vodka.
Bar snacks: There’s an enticing selection of Asian tapas except Thursday when $5 gourmet pizza’s are on offer. Other nights try the soft shell crab, with ginger, chili and lime ($12) and succulent duck spring rolls ($12).
Best for: Wednesday nights are the busiest and best. Strike it lucky and this groovy cocktail bar can go off like a firecracker.
Wow factor: The spacious open air terrace is the only one you’ll find in this area. Generously heated, there’s even an outside bar.
If this bar were an animal it would be: A colourful kaleidoscope inspired multi-layered caterpillar. Fun and funky.
