Opera Bar
The look: The inside bar seats over 100. Curl up with someone special in one of the four deep purple leather booths. The outside open beer garden can fit almost 2,000 people, has long drinking benches and timber furniture, a terrace bar and the best darn back-drop in Sydney.
The soundtrack: There’s live music aplenty, with different artists playing jazz, soul, funk and groove daily.
Signature drink: Beer lover? Then try Opera Bar’s award winning Organic Blonde. Brewed exclusively by Red Oak and available only on tap ($6). It’s a Belgium style wheat beer brewed locally from certified organic ingredients.
On the menu: You can’t go past their deliciously crispy fish and chips ($26). Their rest of their nine mains change every six weeks however always include great ‘for two’ tasting plates
The wow factor: The view of the Harbour Bridge is drop-dead gorgeous spectacular.
Best for: Impressing international or interstate guests who love the water (and love taking photos). It’s also great for Friday night drinks with mates.
If this bar were an animal it would be: A playful dolphin happily showing off its natural charms.
