Rooftop Bar & Cinema
The look: Set where it is (i.e. a rooftop) the focus is more on the urban panorama of apartments and office blocks surrounding it rather than on the decor. But guest amenities include striped canvas deck chairs and verdant patch of drought-proof Astroturf.
To drink: This is a place for simple pleasures like Stella, Erdinger and Little Creatures on tap, a refreshing gin and tonic or a lemon granita for those especially hot, baked concrete days.
To eat: A limited selection of snacks from the BBQ including burgers and grilled saganaki. Bar soundtrack: reggae and dub when the weather is suitably Jamaican.
The crowd: Pretty much a Facehunter blog come to life. Think early 20-somethings and artrepreneurs.
Best for: Activities with mates. Over summer, the cinema screens recent and retro cult classics until the end of March. Meanwhile, local creative types get their goods out at the rooftop market every Friday afternoon over summer.
