Federici Cafe & Bar

Federici Café & Bar
Halloween Edition

The Look: Located adjacent to the Princess Theatre lobby, Federici continues the performing arts theme with Toulouse Lautrec style posters and Phantom of the Opera memorabilia.
To drink: It’s the theatre so wine is the way to go and Federici offers a simple selection by-the-glass and bottle. You can also opt for spirits but more on that later.
To eat: Dinner time heralds the prix fixe menu ($39 per head) which features popular standards such as Caesar salad.
The crowd: Theatregoers make up much of the living clientele but Federici boasts a supernatural connection. The bar is named after the Princess Theatre’s resident ghost, an opera singer who died during his curtain call in 1888. But it seems that Signor Federici couldn’t quite give up the applause and has continued to appear intermittently ever since.
Best for: Musical lovers and would-be ghost-hunters. Though for the best sighting opportunities, you’ll need a ticket to the dress circle.
